“I’m the logical fight”: Dillian Whyte urges Anthony Joshua to prioritize their rematch over potential Tyson Fury bout

Anthony Joshua seems to have gotten his boxing career back on track after a dominating victory against Jermaine Franklin Joshua who had previously lost two fights in a row against Ukrainian heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk. After his latest victory, Joshua didn’t shy away from calling out one of the greatest heavyweight boxers in history Tyson ‘The Gypsy King‘ Fury.

Although Fury hasn’t officially reacted to the callout, Tyson Fury’s last opponent Dillian Whyte seems to be joining the party as he tried to push his case for fighting Anthony Joshua.

Anthony Joshua

“It’s a logical fight,” Whyte told Sky Sports, “Fury is not a person to negotiate with because he’ll mess you around. If he’s [Fury] being offered unified heavyweight champion and not taking it, what is Joshua going to offer him to take the fight? Nothing.”

“He’s obviously seeing Joshua as way beneath him, the fight isn’t going to happen. I don’t know why they are wasting their time. There is someone here who is willing to fight and ready to go, but for some reason Joshua seems to, and I don’t know if it’s a tactic of his, brush it under the carpet. I don’t know if he just doesn’t want to fight me or what, because he knows what my mindset is, I’ll come to fight and I carry power in both hands.”

Who should Anthony Joshua fight next?

“British boxing, it’s an amazing thing and honestly I do appreciate every single one of you, no banter. I do appreciate every one of you highly. I wish I could come ’round and speak to every one of you… You know me, I try and provide for the fans so whatever the fans want, who the fans want, they said Fury?” This is what Anthony Joshua had to say after a unanimous decision victory in his last boxing outing.

Anthony Joshua

It’s for sure that Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury has the potential to be one of the biggest-selling fights for both fighters. Specifically, Fury’s previously scheduled fight against Usyk is off the charts after various failed negotiation attempts. The biggest question right now does Joshua deserve to fight Fury next. Or should he fight and beat another top contender in Dillian Whyte further solidifying his case to fight ‘The Gypsy King’?
