After being released by the Charlotte Hornets in July, Davis Bertans became a free agent. Before terminating his employment, the franchise only guaranteed him $5.25 million of his $16 million salary for 2024/25. He is currently available to sign with any NBA team. According to an NBA insider, the 31-year-old received an invitation to the Golden State Warriors practice to qualify for a training camp.
According to NBA insider Marc Stein, the Warriors have asked the Latvian star to work out, potentially indicating a call to training camp. He shared on Twitter, “Dāvis Bertāns has been invited to work out for the Warriors as Golden State determines whether to extend a training camp invite to the Latvian sharpshooter, league sources tell @TheSteinLine.”
.In addition, Bertans’ agent, Arturs Kalnitis, revealed on Instagram, “Davis Bertans will prepare for the upcoming season with the Goldenstate,” and congratulated him on his new journey in the Bay Area.
The Warriors could be interested in signing Bertans because of his stellar three-point shooting. Given that the club has not yet issued an official statement, numerous fans were taken aback.
