Dwayne Johnson has the blood of the most prestigious bloodline flowing through his veins. He’s a third-generation professional wrestler as his father and grandfather competed in the squared circle and were quite well respected.
But no one thought of the heights Dwayne Johnson would go to, conquering both WWE and Hollywood and becoming one of the most popular personalities of all time. But he comes from a family of great wrestling heritage, and that is visible in a post The Rock shared on Instagram back in 2019.
Relationship between Dwayne Johnson, Andre the Giant
The Internet is a place of ramblings where anything and everything is considered a fact, even though it’s a farce. Similarly, there had been rumors going around that Andre The Giant was related to Dwayne Johnson. This theory doesn’t make sense as the origins of both wrestlers are totally different. But this theory was debunked by The Rock himself when he posted a picture of his grandfather with the 8th Wonder of the World.
The Maivias were very close with Andre The Giant, with Dwayne Johnson’s grandfather and Andre being the greatest of friends, living their lives to the fullest and pursuing their passion for professional wrestling. In a very heartwarming post by Dwayne Johnson, the picture includes Andre sitting on High Chief Peter Maivia’s lap, which portrays their close bond. There have been pictures of a young Dwayne with Andre The Giant but they’re definitely not related but close family friends.
The Rock ended the post by saying that he’d have loved to get his ass kicked by the two wrestling legends and share a drink of tequila too, which was very wholesome and heartwarming.
Dwayne Johnson’s wrestling legacy passed on to daughter Ava Raine
It was announced a while ago that Ava Raine was one of the wrestlers in the latest batch of inductees who’d undergo training at the WWE Performance Center in Florida. Now who’s Ava Raine? You might ask. She’s the daughter of The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment. Because of this accomplishment, Dwayne Johnson was extremely proud of her and praised the fact that she pursued wrestling despite not having The Rock force it upon her. She quickly improved and made her way to WWE’s developmental brand, NXT. She debuted on NXT in her first televised appearance, revealing herself to be a member of Joe Gacy’s villainous faction, Schism.
The social media went into a frenzy during an already stacked episode of NXT last week where the likes of John Cena, Cody Rhodes, and LA Knight made an appearance. Accompanying Bron Breakker in the main event against Carmelo Hayes, he made a quick stop backstage, which was recorded and uploaded on X. It was a short clip of Paul Heyman trying to recruit Ava Raine to The Bloodline which sent social media into a frenzy again.
There’s always been a space for female representation in The Bloodline. It’s going to be interesting to see how they use Ava Raine amidst the rumors of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson going up against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 in a battle for the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship and to decide who’s the real Tribal Chief once and for all.
Will Ava Raine join The Bloodline to go up against her father? Feel free to discuss in the comments.
