Jesse Lingard’s career has taken him to clubs like Manchester United, Leicester City, Brighton, West Ham United, and Nottingham Forest. He has been a part of Manchester United for most of his career, but the Red Devils kept loaning him out every season.
The FA Cup winner finally left Manchester United to join Nottingham Forest in July 2022 on a free transfer. His time at his new club was short, as he only remained there for half a season before becoming a free agent again in 2023. West Ham United’s manager, David Moyes, has given an update on whether Jesse will come back to them this year.
David Moyes provides update on Jesse Lingard
Jesse Lingard made a move to Premier League club West Ham United on a loan deal in January 2021. The player only remained there for half a year, but it was enough for him to give a memorable performance. Fans loved Jesse, and since he is currently training with The Hammers, they think he might be coming back to West London once again.
However, West Ham manager David Moyes has dismissed all the rumours surrounding Jesse Lingard and his transfer. He has told the press that they are not considering offering him a deal at the moment.
“He’s in training to see if we can get him back fit and get him in decent condition. He’ll be back here next week as well. There’s no news on that as far as short-term deals or anything else.” he said.
Lingard’s West Ham record
On January 2021 Jesse Lingard made a move to The Irons where he reunited with his old manager David Moyes. David used to manage Manchester United and he was no stranger to Lingard’s abilities. Though he only remained at the club for half a season season, Lingard made 16 appearances during that time and scored 9 goals and got 5 assists to his name.
Jlingz carried the ball for 52 meters in a game against Wolves, setting the record for the furthest a player has travelled with the ball before scoring a goal that season. He even got the Premier League Player of the Month and Premier League Goal of the Month award in April.
