Elon Musk is famous for his out-of-the-box, sometimes crazy ideas and is quite recognized among the meme community for it. His most recent one is getting into a one-on-one fight with Meta’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg. What started out probably as a joke has now come true after both Zuckerberg and Musk agreed to it. And now, it seems that Musk might have an unlikely ally in WWE, who is none other than John Cena.
The fight between the Meta and X (formerly known as Twitter) CEO has been one of the most talked about topics in the world right now, with talks of them fighting in the octagon. Although some may think that a fight between a couple of billionaires wouldn’t be any good, this couldn’t be further from the truth. Both Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg have been training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for a long time.
Is John Cena supporting Elon Musk?
In a recent post on X(Twitter), Elon Musk replied to a post shared by WWE’s official account, which showed a video from the match between Roman Reigns and Jey Uso from SummerSlam. He wrote, “Am going with @WWE as my fighting style.”
This generated a lot of attention from fans as well as the 16-time WWE World Champion, John Cena, who shared a screenshot of Musk’s tweet in his infamous style of not adding any captions along with it. So, does this mean that the CEO of X(Twitter) now has the Cenation Leader on his side?

Considering the post is left up to the interpretation of the viewers, it’s safe to assume that John Cena supports the idea of Musk fighting Zuckerberg in a WWE ring. Moreover, this match would break all records in the history of the company and land immense profits for WWE. Now, it’s up to the two billionaires to confirm the venue and the date of their match, if it becomes a reality.
When will John Cena return to in-ring action?
Unfortunately, the Cenation Leader is no longer a full-time professional wrestler, only making one or two appearances a year in WWE. After having a successful wrestling career, Cena started getting roles in Hollywood movies. He went on to become a megastar in the Hollywood industry, starring in TV shows and movies such as Peacemaker, The Suicide Squad, Bumblebee, etc.
The last time that John Cena wrestled in WWE was at WrestleMania 39, against Austin Theory for the United States Championship. To no one’s surprise, Theory defeated Cena to kick off Night One of this year’s WrestleMania. Cena also made an appearance at Money In The Bank 2023, where he delivered an Attitude Adjustment to Grayson Waller and applauded the London audience.
It is unlikely that John Cena would step into the ring again this year. He once said in an interview that he was getting too old for the in-ring action and doesn’t want to disappoint fans with a bad performance.
While he may return again sometime in the near future for another appearance, it’s unlikely that he would wrestle anytime soon. Fans should expect the Cenation Leader to show up for a match sometime next year. One thing’s for sure, John Cena has become a must-see spectacle for the wrestling industry and fans can’t wait till he shows up again in the ring.
