Khabib Nurmagomedov has made a sensational prediction that his friend and UFC lightweight contender Islam Makhachev is gonna ride Charles Oliveira like his horse and have a dominant victory over the Brazilian champion.
Khabib was talking to Brett Okamoto from ESPN mma about the potential Islam vs Oliveira fight. The arguable GOAT of the lightweight division claimed that if Charles Oliveira fought Islam Makhachev in Brazil, he would ride the champion like a horse and beat him at his own ground game.
Nurmagomedov relishes the idea of going to Brazil and taking the lightweight strap back to Dagestan, where it once resided with him. Khabib said that this was his late father Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov’s dream that once Khabib was done with the sport, Islam would take his place and continue the legacy.

Islam Makhachev has been on a 10 fight win streak in the division and hasn’t lost a fight since the year 2015. Islam has beaten the likes of Dan Hooker, Thiago Moises and Drew Dober to earn his place as the number 4 ranked contender in the world. He has a record of 22-1, that one loss came in his UFC debut. But since then, Islam has become one of the most feared lightweights in the world. He is as dominant as Khabib was when he was active.
If Islam can live up to the prediction of his friend and mentor Khabib Nurmagomedov and infact ride Oliveira like a horse in Brazil, it would be one of the most spectacular feats in UFC lightweight history.
Islam Makhachev vs Charles Oliveira is the most sensible matchup for the currently vacant lightweight crown. Islam has been repeatedly asking for a title shot against Charles as he wants to become the UFC lightweight champion as soon as possible.
