Daniel Cormier got brutally honest on Henry Cejudo’s comeback fight. DC thinks that Cejudo is coming back out of retirement for money and a payday! DC revealed his thoughts about Cejudo’s return while talking to Luke Rockhold about his return to the octagon after two years.
Daniel Cormier was talking to his friend and former gym partner Luke Rockhold about his upcoming return against Paulo Costa at UFC 277. Luke and DC spoke in depth about why Rockhold is returning to fight after he had a losing skid during his last run.
Rockhold believes that he is returning for legacy while a lot of other fighters simply come out of retirement to get massive paydays.
Here is the clip of DC and Luke Rockhold talking in DC’s YouTube podcast:
Henry Cejudo retired after he became the double champion, but DC thinks that he is looking to come back just to be a bit more financially secure. Cejudo got into the USADA testing pool recently and has hinted at making a comeback. Cejudo, who is already a two-division champion in the UFC is probably aiming for a third belt, that too against the current featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski.
If Cejudo is really returning for the money can only be known after he replies to Cormier’s comments about him. Cejudo and DC were friends once but ever since Henry trained with Jon Jones, their relationship has deteriorated.
