Odell Beckham Jr. joining the Baltimore Ravens is undoubtedly a wise choice for all involved. Another illustrious player, tight end Rob Gronkowski, recently expressed his excitement about the signing of Tyreek Hill and Lamar Jackson.
With the Ravens, Beckham agreed to a $15 million, one-year deal. According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the contract has a full guarantee.
After tearing his ACL in Super Bowl LVI while playing for the Los Angeles Rams, the wide receiver missed the entire previous season, which was disastrous for the three-time Pro Bowler. Then, many people believed that teams would not be as interested in him as before, making his final destination to be landed confusing.
The 30-year-old had a meeting with the Jet’s officials a few days ago, and it was believed that the New York Jets were his best option after quarterback Aaron Rodgers put OBJs’ name on his wish list of players if Rodgers joined the team.
What did Rob Gronkowski state regarding Beckham?
There is currently a lot of buzz about Beckham’s potential tie to the Ravens, and many high-profile athletes are expressing their enthusiasm for it. The tight end recently expressed his satisfaction with the deal. The deal was worthwhile for OBJ because it seemed like he had finally found his own place, according to the quarterback.
Due to Beckham’s unstoppable explosiveness, the Ravens can use him as a conduit to reach their stated goal. He is the only player to have two seasons with at least 1000 receiving yards in as few as 12 games during the Super Bowl era.
“I was actually very surprised that he went to Baltimore. It was like a home run that came out of nowhere,” Rob tweeted.

While RG talked about Beckham’s move to Baltimore, the four-time Super Bowl champion himself decided to stop playing football and announced his retirement. The good news is that the legendary player has revealed his intention to continue playing pickleball, so fans can expect to see him on the field once more.
“I beat my brother, Chris, who plays with pros, and my other brother, Gordon, who plays with pros too!” Gronkowski said. “And I beat ’em with an average Joe — my other brother, Glenn G., was my partner! “I’m happily retired. I’m still competing, I’m still winning, so I don’t even need to go back to football.”
Gronkowski initially stated his retirement after the 2018 season, though he later changed his mind after Brady persuaded Rob to move to Tampa Bay. In 2020, the 33-year-old joined the Buccaneers. Together, the dynamic duo was able to win three Super Bowl rings with the New England Patriots and one more with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The DE was chosen to play in five Pro Bowls throughout his remarkable career, and he also received three championships and one Comeback Player of the Year award.
