In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the legendary manager discussed how the deal with Netflix has significantly changed WWE.

According to him, before COVID-19, WWE was considered a niche industry, mainly attracting a specific group of fans. But now, he thanked the Netflix deal, which has made WWE a big mainstream brand that reaches way more people.

Paul Heyman said, “Before COVID, it was a boutique industry, it was niche, it was a guilty pleasure, and then it became a multibillion-dollar guilty pleasure and a multibillion-dollar boutique industry, and now, with the distribution on Netflix, it’s no longer boutique, now it’s certified Main Street.”
