Jake Paul is playing a big part in the boxing community right now. After debuting in boxing, many influencers are turning into boxers, following the path of Jake. “Problem Child” is already a big name in professional boxing, with 8 wins to his name in 4 years of time.
Jake Paul recently got the bout announcement to fight with no official announcement of opponent in the month of March next year. But there have been some part-time trash-talking opponents for Paul. The 26-year-old once had a confrontation with the former UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier.
Why did Jake Paul confront Daniel Cormier?
It was during UFC 261, when Daniel Cormier and Jake Paul got in front of each other when Paul was standing in the audience area of the arena. At that time, Jake was all pumped up as the fighter and had secured a victory against ex-UFC fighter Ben Askren. Cormier didn’t like the way “Problem Child” was treating his potential opponent, Tyron Woodley, and went on Twitter with a warning.
Cormier, who recently confessed to biting Jon Jones in one of his altercations, gave a warning and tweeted, “I mean, the way this dude talked to T-Wood makes my skin crawl. All these kids are going to get taught a lesson, I swear. And I can’t wait for it. @JLeonLove, you can’t fight. Better respect dudes like @TWooodley before he puts his hands on you. He ain’t Ben!”
After this escalated backstage, Daniel Cormier, during the confrontation, said to slap the 24-year-old YouTuber-turned-boxer at that time.
Jake Paul in response commented on Daniel Cormier “su*king up to” boss Dana White.
“It’s people like Daniel Cormier who just suck up to Dana and just say yes to whatever it is that he wants to do for his whole entire career because Daniel wants to play that long route, and then eventually, you know, Dana wants to make him a commentator. Because Daniel has just always said yes, yes, yes, and followed along and never questioned anything.”
Though the 44-year-old didn’t bother about a rookie new upcoming boxer, the hatred is still there.
Jake Paul had the whole UFC under his palm in 2021
Once again, the incident of 2021 is getting fired up as Jake Paul is claiming to take big attention in the world of boxing.
Paul literally took a dig at how Stipe Miocic beat Daniel Cormier, saying the same way he will beat DC.
Jake Paul fought five times against four ex-UFC fighters and secured the victory in all fights. At the early stage of boxing, Paul, aged around 23 to 24, was more into getting serious fights against big names. The 26-year-old has now stepped foot on the professional boxing title contender list after defeating André August.
