Jake Paul vs Conor McGregor fight to take place after Nate Diaz bout? exploring Problem Child’s dream fighter

Jake Paul is known to have various options when it comes to his fighting career. However, following his upcoming bout against Nate Diaz on August 5th, the outspoken “Problem Child” seems to have his eyes fixed on one specific matchup.

For quite some time, the 26-year-old social influencer turned boxer has expressed his desire for a future fight against UFC superstar Conor McGregor.

In Paul’s opinion, there couldn’t be a more opportune moment to arrange this showdown than after he emerges victorious against Diaz, who has engaged in two legendary battles with McGregor, resulting in a 1-1 record.

Is Jake Paul vs Conor McGregor fight happening after Nate Diaz bout?

Although Jake has primarily focused on his boxing career, having claimed victories over former UFC champions Anderson Silva and Tyron Woodley, he appears to be genuinely considering a transition to mixed martial arts (MMA).

Paul recently signed a deal with the Professional Fighters League (PFL) that not only grants him equity in the organization but also hints at his intentions to eventually compete in MMA. However, no specific timeline has been established for this potential move.

The social influencer turned boxer has expressed his willingness to explore the option of an MMA fight, even against Conor, if it is preferred by the former two-division UFC champion. This suggests that Paul is open to crossing over into the world of MMA and engaging in high-profile matchups.

“There’s so many fighters, there’s so many people out there,” Jake said. “We have offers out to Tommy [Fury]. We’ve been trying to do the KSI negotiations for years so there’s just a lot down the horizon.

“But when I knock out Nate Diaz, I think that Conor McGregor’s going to see me. Want a payday and come and get knocked out.”

Jake Paul talks about his dream fighter and it is not Conor McGregor

Regarding other potential matchups, Jake seems clearly interested in seeking a rematch against Tommy Fury. Who handed him his sole defeat in a split decision back in February.

While the option of facing Fury remains open he also wants to have a go at Canelo Alvarez. Paul has not publicly pondered the idea of a potential fight against KSI much, despite the ongoing rivalry between them.

KSI, who previously defeated Paul’s older brother, Logan Paul, in a boxing match before they became friends and business partners, had recently been linked to a bout against Tommy. However, negotiations for that fight have never really progressed too far as per reports.

Paul firmly asserts that KSI has no interest in facing him in the boxing ring. Consequently, he is not dedicating much attention to the possibility of that matchup, focusing instead on other potential opponents.
