NBA recently announced the finalists for the 2023–24 Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year Award and Jalen Brunson has also been nominated for the prestigious trophy.
The other finalists for Teammate of the Year include Mikal Bridges, Al Horford, T.J. McConnell, Georges Niang, Markelle Fultz, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Mike Conley, Jalen Williams, Harrison Barnes, Larry Nance Jr. and Dwight Powell.
Jalen Brunson has proven himself to be one of the best players in the league right now, as there have been many talks of him even being the MVP for the season by many former NBA Legends and analysts. One such assertion was made by former NBA Superstar DeMarcus Cousins.

DeMarcus Cousins had some high praise for Jalen Brunson as he said, “This Knicks team is built strictly off toughness. I think Jalen Brunson should be one of the top names when it comes to MVP this season.”
Cousins, the 4-time NBA All-Star also praised the phenomenal 60-point performance of the 2024 NBA All-Star Jalen Brunson, and added that the way Brunson is carrying the New York Knicks through ups and downs is highly commendable.
Brunson also got some praise from 2-time NBA Champion Rajon Rondo, who said that Brunson has been underrated his whole career. Rondo added, “I even have my son watching him as much as possible, at that position maybe behind Kyrie [Irving], he is the best post up guard in the game.”
Jalen Brunson is having the best season of his career, as he is averaging 27.9 points, 3.6 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game in the 69 games he has played in the 2023–24 season. Due to Brunson’s stellar leadership, the New York Knicks are currently at number 4 in the Eastern Conference.
