Jalen Green recently talked about his motivation that keeps him fired up for every game. While talking to a Space City reporter, Green said that his family and his baby are the reasons behind his amazing performances.
“My family, my baby,” was Jalen Green’s Candid reply when a sideline reporter approached the player with the question of his ultimate motivation.
Green and his baby mama Draya Michele were heavily criticized due to their age gap of 18 years. Green has so far ignored the criticism and plans to raise their future daughter with Michele, who recently posted on her Instagram stories about Adidas sending clothes for their soon-to-be-born daughter.
Green’s family has proven to be a great motivation for the 22-year-old superstar, and it has produced some great results for him as he was recently announced Western Conference Player of the Week.
Jalen Green wins Western Conference Player of the Week
NBA has announced Jalen Green as Western Conference Player of the Week for games played from Monday, March 11 through Sunday, March 17 (Week 21). The Rockets center Alperen Sengun won the award in Week 11. Before Sengun, the last Rockets player to be named Player of the Week was James Harden in November of 2019.
Last week, the Houston Rockets went 3-0 with wins over Kings, Spurs and Wizards. Green averaged 26.3 points and 8.7 rebounds for the week while shooting 49.2% from the floor and 45.8% from 3-point range.
Jalen Green is yet to achieve his final form as he keeps on improving every season. It will be interesting to see if he can help the Rockets bounce back again and seal their spot for the playoffs.
The Houston-based franchise is currently at number 11 in the Western Conference, although they still have 14 more games left, and if they continue this winning streak, it is certain that they can be a problem for any team in the playoffs.
