Janel Grant first filed her lawsuit in January 2024, accusing Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis of serious crimes like sexual assault and trafficking. She also said WWE executives knew about it and allowed it to happen.
Netflix even made a documentary about McMahon, showing details of the situation. Now, Janel Grant has shared that she plans to update her lawsuit against WWE, Vince McMahon, and John Laurinaitis with new details.
The case was paused for six months starting in June 2024 because of a federal investigation in New York. The investigation is still ongoing, with no charges filed yet. Janel Grant, through her lawyers, plans to update the lawsuit she filed against Vince McMahon.
The changes are expected to be filed by January 15, 2025. Grant can make one change to her lawsuit without needing special permission from the court. Grant’s lawyer, Ann Callis, made it clear in new court papers on January 2 that they intend to update the lawsuit.
Janel Grant's attorney indicated in new court filings that Grant plans to modify her lawsuit against WWE, Vince McMahon, and John Laurinaitis.

Former WWE star recalls memorable moments with Vince McMahon
Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion TJ Perkins, better known as TJP, recently opened up about his interactions with former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon during an interview with That’s Wrestling! The interview provided a glimpse into the relationship between the young star and the legendary wrestling executive.
TJP fondly recalled how he made a point to speak with McMahon regularly during his tenure with WWE, describing the chairman as approachable and down-to-earth. One of the standout aspects of Perkins’ experiences with McMahon was how the Chairman treated him and other talent.
Recalling those moments, he added, “Every time people came in the door, they were surprised. I guess of how accommodating he could be… He would treat you very well and kind of take you by the hand and lead you through what you need to do to be a better professional.”
