L’Jarius Sneed was one of the NFL players dealing with the stress of finding a new team this offseason. While the CB was adamant about staying with the Chiefs, the team has decided to trade him.
Recently, a new team has been reported to sign L’Jarius Sneed for which the DT Jeffery Simmons is very excited.
Chiefs to trade franchise CB L’Jarius Sneed to Titans
The Kansas City Chiefs are finalizing a deal to trade L’Jarius Sneed to the Tennessee Titans. On Friday night, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported about Sneed’s move to the Titans.
The Chiefs are expected to receive a 2025 third-round pick and a 2024 seventh-round pick swap for Sneed. The team and L’Jarius Sneed have been working on their deal for many days but couldn’t come up with a solution to work together.
The team offered him a franchise tag earlier this month which allowed him to talk to other teams. It was expected that the Chiefs would work out a deal with that team after Sneed decides something.
The Tennessee Titans have already signed veteran cornerback Chidobe Awuzie to a $36 million deal. Now, Sneed will also join him, and both are expected to form a strong cornerback duo.
Once, L’Jarius Sneed is traded to the Tennessee Titans, the Chiefs will save $19.8 million in salary cap. This move will also benefit the Titans as their defensive end, Jeffery Simmons recently reacted positively to this trade.
