Jey Uso Likes To Go Toe-To-Toe In A Promo With The Rock

If someone asks who has the best promo skills in WWE right now (not counting managers), you might say CM Punk, Drew McIntyre, or maybe “The Ring General” Gunther. But after what The Rock did before Elimination Chamber with Cody Rhodes, it’s clear he’s still one of the best.

So, there is no doubt that many dream of going toe-to-toe with him in a promo segment. Recently, Jey Uso shared a similar wish, saying he would love to have a promo battle with The Rock.

The Rock is now a big name in WWE again, thanks to his new “Final Boss” character. Recently, he teamed up with John Cena and changed the whole landscape. The Rock and Jey Uso are family—along with Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, and Solo Sikoa. Plus, The Rock is actually Jey’s uncle!

In an interview with Mail Sport, Jey shared that he really wants to work with The Great One. The 39-year-old said, “I want to get in there. I would like to go toe-to-toe in a promo with him. I know The Rock is good like that, but I feel like I’m new school with mine, I’m really in it. I’m really out there like that.

He added, “Rock is very believable. He can be entertaining and all that, but I feel like I can bring some different kind of emotions from The Rock—family always hits different. I didn’t know I could do it with Roman, with my brothers, so I would like to test those waters.”

Jey Uso breaks silence on WrestleMania 41 main event hopes

WWE superstar Jey Uso, now known as “Main Event Jey” after winning the 2025 Royal Rumble, finally spoke about his chances of headlining WrestleMania 41. In an interview with the Daily Mail, Jey shared his thoughts on his upcoming World Heavyweight Championship match against Gunther and whether he’ll be in the main event.

He said he wouldn’t be upset if he didn’t get the main event spot because he’s already come so far—way more than he ever thought possible. Jey Uso said, “I have hit so many new things that I never thought I’d even scratch the surface on, but I’m the 2025 Royal Rumble winner now. I bet last year people would have never picked me. They didn’t pick me this year, but I just love this ride.”

He later thanked WWE CCO Triple H for giving him such a great opportunity.
