Currently, NBA suspension rules seem like they have become a curse for Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler, as he was suspended by the Miami Heat for the second time in three weeks.
The suspensions, which include a recent two-game penalty for missing a team flight, result in a huge $3.1 million in salary for the 35-year-old star.
Jimmy Butler is one of the highest-paid players in the NBA, earning $48.7 million this season with a $52.4 million option for next year. However, his disciplinary problems are causing trouble with the Miami Heat.

Of course, Butler could still get some (or even most) of that back depending on the result of grievances filed through the NBPA.
Reports say Butler has been pushing for a trade, and his suspensions are adding more possibility to the mix. So far, Jimmy Butler has accumulated nine suspensions this season alone.
These suspensions have resulted in a significant financial loss for him, amounting to approximately $3.1 million in salary.
