Joe Fournier accuses KSI of cheating to beat him at Misfits boxing event: "“He cheated, it's clear, you've all seen the replays"

As a result of an illegal elbow strike from KSI, Joe Fournier’s winning streak in professional boxing ended tonight. Joe took a serious jab at KSI after the bout and even threatened to take legal action against Misfits Boxing if necessary.

The much-awaited boxing match between KSI and Fournier took place at the Misfits Boxing 7 event in London’s OVO Arena. Even though there were numerous boxing matches tonight, this one featuring an internet influencer and an influential businessman received all the attention.

What sparked the debate during the Misfits Boxing 7 main event?

Joe found it a little challenging to match the young boxer’s rhythm, pace, and fervor from the start of the battle. There shouldn’t be much debate about who won the first round: the YouTuber-turned-boxer.

After a decent and competitive first round, though, the drama started in the second round. Despite this, Logan Paul’s business partner continued to control the ring’s unbeaten record-holder.

Everyone was stunned when KSI struck Fournier with a lethal elbow strike, which is what caused controversy because the officials declared KSI as the winner ignoring the elbow strike.

What did Joe Fournier say regarding the controversial decision?

Joe after the fight took to Twitter to express his frustration regarding the result. The 40-year-old boxer clearly thinks the result shouldn’t have gone in KSI’s favor.

“I knew fighting the promoter there would be every angle in his favor but to call this a KO instead of a disqualification after an intentional elbow is disgusting!!!” Fournier wrote.

Whether Fournier will continue his pro boxing career at this point in his life is uncertain. However, Fournier indicated his intention to file a lawsuit as soon as possible after refusing to accept the outcome of the bout.

“We will be appealing this decision Monday and I hope both [Misfits Boxing and Professional Boxing Association] do the right thing and show their integrity to the sport of boxing!!” Fournier added.
