John Cena has lauded Brock Lesnar, a former WWE champion, for his extraordinary success. Cena’s profound respect and recognition of Lesnar’s importance to WWE were clear signs of his appreciation for the latter. After Lesnar’s dominating performance in the Royal Rumble fight, Cena gave him high marks.
Despite Brock Lesnar’s interest in other promotions, like the UFC and NJPW, he has a deep history with WWE. When Lesnar returned to WWE, he was just as aggressive as ever. According to John Cena, there’s no debate about Lesnar’s validity, and he feels the Beast deserves greater respect as one of the best in WWE, even if he’s often underrated.
John Cena praises Brock Lesnar
John Cena has been raving about a former protege from WWE’s OVW developmental division who he believes is one of the finest pro wrestlers today. No doubt to say that Cenation Leader made a brief comeback to WWE this summer, challenging Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam in an attempt to earn his 17th World Title.
John Cena, who is one of the highest paid stars in the WWE, honored several Superstars and reflected on several classic bouts in a recent WWE video. He has said that Brock Lesnar is “extremely underrated.” Lesnar has had a spectacular WWE stint, including numerous WWE Championship reigns, WrestleMania headliners where he was even once almost killed, feuds with top wrestlers, and ending The Undertaker’s unbeaten record.
The 16-time-champion has spoken highly of Lesnar, calling him “underrated” and “one of the best to ever step foot in a wrestling ring” after their historic encounters, which Cena characterized as “intense as hell.”
In the interview, he said, “I love Brock. As a performer, he’s extremely underrated, even though he’s in that conversation of the greatest of all time. I love him as a human being.”
John Cena and Brock Lesnar in-ring rivalry
John Cena and Brock Lesnar are two of the biggest names in WWE history, and their rivalry has been one to remember. Fan arguments regarding who is superior center on the high-stake drama and action of their many confrontations.
After an eight-year absence, Lesnar squared up against Cena in 2012. Extreme Rules was hardly a family-friendly event, but Cena managed to pull off a shocking upset by beating Brock Lesnar with an F5 on the steel stairs.
In 2014, at SummerSlam, Lesnar challenged Cena for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, marking their second time crossing paths. Lesnar’s domination was clear with sixteen German suplexes and two F5s, propelling him to win. This firmly established Lesnar as the dominating force between the two.
They may never meet again, but they certainly left fans with plenty of exciting memories. What is the most memorable experience you have had with The Beast and Cenation Leader together? Leave a comment and tell us what you think.
