John Cena was nothing short of a sensation in WWE. Despite his irregular appearances these days, he still is one of the biggest names in the sport. Now he has found himself an avenue to further cement his place in the WWE lores. Cena will be an executive producer of an imminent WWE reality show.
From 2006 to almost around ten years Cena drove people into a frenzy whenever he stepped foot into the ring. Wrestling fans will remember how the roof almost fell off in his sudden royal rumble entrance, or even that iconic Wrestlemania entrance with numbers of Cena prototypes.
Eventually he took the Hollywood route like many other superstars. ‘The leader of Cenation’ quickly found his feet there as well. His character in ‘The Suicide Squad’ took him to the apex. That resulted in a stand-alone spin-off TV show ‘Peacemaker’ as well.
John Cena will be an executive producer on the show
With his newfound experience, Cena will look to implement that knowledge. Roku came up with a new documentary series ‘WWE Recruits.’ The eight part series will feature wrestling aspirants and their journeys. The show will follow them and shoot their tryouts for the promotion. Cena will also make an appearance on the show.
The show is curated in a format of reality shows. It will feature male and female competitors. They will go through an arduous journey. Fans will get an insight into what it takes to be a WWE superstar.
Their workout regimes, their sacrifices, their utmost dedication and finally, their boundless joy of accomplishments – fans will get a look into all of these. The show will take a number of aspirants on a journey, only to select one elite huddle of superstars.
Much like what he must have gone through, Cena can also take a ride back to the past and reminisce about his journey. While the show will be produced by WWE and A.Smith and Co Productions, Cena will co produce the show with Arthur Smith, Frank Sinton, Ian Mallahan and Dan Baime. WWE fans will be more excited about the superstars who will feature on the show. Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, Bianca Belaire and loads of other superstars will appear on the show. The filming is already underway.
Cena has lit up the WWE arena. To this day, he is still going strong in the ring. He even had an interesting exchange with Snoop Dogg at the Wrestlemania 39. And it is safe to say that he will do the same with this show.
