John Cena set to deliver heartfelt Bray Wyatt tribute during highly anticipated WWE SmackDown comeback

The death of Bray Wyatt from a heart attack at the age of 36 came as tragic news for the wrestling community following the recent passing of another legend of the sport, Terry Funk. Bray had just returned to the ring a year before for the 2023 Premier Live Event at Royal Rumble, after recovering from Covid-19. There were rumors that he would return to the ring quickly following his recovery, but things turned out differently.

WWE and several other former wrestlers recently announced his death, and tributes aimed at him flooded the industry. Now we may see one of WWE’s biggest stars return inside the ring and pay tribute to the fiend.

John Cena’s heartfelt tribute planned for Bray Wyatt on SmackDown return

On WWE TV, Wyatt hasn’t been seen in action since his rivalry with LA Knight ended. His last bout, against The Megastar at the Royal Rumble, was a Mountain Dew Pitch Black fight. Then, he had to restart the recuperation process because of physical setbacks.

However, his latest appearance in a fan’s video signaled that he was getting ready for the Smackdown ring. Many fans looked forward to seeing his terrifying performance, but alas that was not to be! Recently, John Cena wrote a heartfelt letter to Bray Wyatt on his Twitter handle.

John Cena Tweeted, “My heart goes out to the entire Rotunda family. Windham brought the best out of me in so many ways. I’m forever grateful for the moments we shared. A sad day for all those he reached around the world. RIP.”

According to BWE, the 46-years-former champion may present an emotional tribute to Wyatt during his return on the next Smackdown Live, which is set to air the following Friday.

SmackDown on September 1 to feature iconic John Cena’s return

‘The leader of the Cenation’ John Cena is scheduled to make a huge appearance on the September 1 episode of WWE Smackdown Live, which might lead to a significant segment with Jimmy Uso that ties into “The Bloodline” storyline.

On that day, The LWO members Santos Escobar and Rey Mysterio are expected to face the dangerous combo of Austin Theory and Grayson Waller in a tag team battle. However, Anthony is also set to attend India’s September 8 WWE spectacle event.
