John Cena Will Be the Last Champion and Vows to Retire the Championship After That

Since John Cena turned heel, he hasn’t physically confronted Cody Rhodes during any of his appearances, leaving fans confused about who he is feuding with.

In his recent appearance on Raw, he made his evil intentions clear, stating that he will make the crowd suffer and retire with the Undisputed WWE Championship.

In the fiery promo, John Cena revealed his plan to defeat Cody Rhodes, the current WWE Champion, and claim the title for a record-breaking 17th time. But that’s what everyone already knows.

What people don’t know is that Cena wants the people to suffer for whom he was the baby face for the last two decades. He vowed to take the championship belt with him into retirement, saying, “I will be the last real champion.”

It was quite a savage take, one that would clearly change the course for both the crowd and the company. By adding that statement, he seems to be aiming to ruin wrestling, and his revenge targets not only Cody but the entire wrestling community.

If Cena truly wins at WrestleMania 41, claims his 17th title, and leaves without giving it up, WWE would face an unprecedented crisis. For the first time ever, they’d have to create a new championship, breaking their own legacy. And just like that, Cena wouldn’t just be a champion—he’d be the man who rewrote history.

WWE star dislikes John Cena & Cody Rhodes no-fight angle

Vince Russo, a former WWE head writer, shared his thoughts on Cody Rhodes’ segment with John Cena on last week’s Monday Night Raw. On his show, Legion of RAW, Russo criticized how the segment was handled.

He was disappointed with Rhodes’ response to Cena, especially since Cena had attacked him before. Russo pointed out that Cena had kicked Rhodes, yet Rhodes only called him a “whiny b*tch” instead of taking further action.

A similar situation happened on this week’s Raw, which ended without a hand-to-hand action between Cody Rhodes and John Cena. Though Russo hasn’t spoken about this segment yet, based on his previous comments, he might not have liked it either.
