Following Damar Hamlin’s heart injury, Buffalo Bills fans are dealing with yet another upsetting story. The Bills broadcaster John Murphy suffered a stroke last weekend.
This week has been very distressful and emotional for the Bills’ fans as Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest due to a fatal injury. He was later taken to the ICU of the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for better treatment. on that Monday night, john was not in the booth as the organization revealed he was ‘under the weather.’

Yesterday, the Bills’ Twitter account announced John’s illness. “He is recovering at home with his family and making progress every day. John and the Murphy family are grateful for the excellent care by the staff and doctors at Buffalo General Medical Center. We appreciate everyone’s support,” the statement said on behalf of the Murphy family.

Chris Brown will handle play-by-play duties for Bills games while he recovers from his illness. Brown was also in the press booth on Monday as Hamlin collapsed.
In the interim Chris Brown will continue to perform play by play duties on the Bills Radio Network.

The 67-year-old veteran commentator was inducted into the Buffalo Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2019 after being the voice of the Buffalo Bills for 16 years. Previously, he was the sports director of WBEN from 1984 to 1992. he also made a iconic cameo in Jim Carrey’s famous ‘Bruce Almighty.’
