Jon “the controversial” Jones is a phenomenon in the light heavyweight division of the UFC. The youngest champion in UFC history has appeared in 28 MMA events, secured 26 victories, and been undefeated since 2009.
The two-time UFC light heavyweight champion has always been in the news because of his out of the ring activities like hit and run cases and taking illegal substances, for these types of immoderate acts, he had to abandon his titles multiple times and got suspended once.
However, Mr. Bone backed his own style by reclaiming the light heavyweight title by defeating the Swedish Mixed Martial Artist, Alexander Gustafsson. Jon was last seen in the octagon against Dominick Reyes and successfully defended the title. Apart from that, the current “longest win streak” record holder in the UFC has voluntarily vacated his light heavyweight title so that he could move up to the heavyweight division of the UFC.
Since then, the fans have been eagerly waiting for the announcement of Jon Jones’ next bout. The former interim UFC Light Heavyweight Champion was supposed to face off against the former two-time UFC Heavyweight Champion, Stipe Miocic, at UFC 282. But the event was canceled due to the rematch between Jiri Prochazka and Glover Teixeira.
