NFL players and fans are no strangers to injury. As a result of this curse, many players have lost rhythm in their form and even careers, causing teams to suffer. The game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the New Orleans Saints last night saw no exception.
Despite two straight losses, most recently against the Saints, the Eagles remain atop the NFC East with a 13-3 record. They couldn’t manage to grab a single point in the first, second, or fourth quarters, as the Saints thrashed them in their home stadium, Lincoln Financial Field. The water on the drowned mouse was Eagles defensive end Josh Sweat’s injury.
How did Josh sweat get injured?
The 25-year-old Josh left the field early in the first quarter due to a scary injury. He appeared to collide head-on with an opponent, causing him to leave the field on the cart. At that moment, all his teammates came onto the field and surrounded him to ensure the players’ privacy.

Prior to his injury, the defensive end was in top form, grabbing a career-high 11 sacks this season. In his absence, Brandon Graham, Haason Reddick, Patrick Johnson, and Kyron Johnson might take the role on rotation. The Eagles team and fans are surely awaiting his return to the field to extend their run in the postseason.
Josh Sweat will be released from the hospital tonight.
