The 19-year-old young talent, Joshua Primo, has shown enough potential in his rookie season. It was implied that the San Antonio Spurs considered him a horse of the long race as they acquired him with $4.3 million on his contract for 2023-2024.
The Canadian Basketball star was the No. 12 pick in the 2021 NBA draft and scored an average of 5.8 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 50 games (16 starts) during his rookie season. The team had a long way to with the youngster until a serious charge was brought against him.
A former employee of the San Antonio Spurs alleges that Josh Primo exposed himself to her, according to Texas attorney Tony Buzbee, who has been appointed by the victim. On the basis of this accusation, the Spurs abruptly released Primo on Friday.
Sources: A former Spurs female employee has alleged that guard Josh Primo exposed himself to her, and she has hired attorney Tony Buzbee.
Buzbee represented the women in the sexual misconduct lawsuits against NFL QB Deshaun Watson.

The decision to release Primo was unexpected and shocking, and it showed the gravity of the concerns surrounding the promising youngster. “It is our hope that, in the long run, this decision will serve the best interest of both the organization and Joshua,” Spurs CEO R.C. Buford said in a statement.
In response to this occurrence, Primo gave a statement to ESPN where he noted, “I know that you all are surprised by today’s announcement. I’ve been seeking help to deal with the previous trauma I suffered and will now take this time to focus on my mental health treatment more fully. I hope to be able to discuss these issues in the future so I can help others who have suffered in a similar way. I appreciate privacy at this time.”
There is still confusion about which team Primo will get himself into after being released by the Spurs. ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne and Adrian Wojnarowski have added their insights about the incident saying, “Many NBA teams remain intrigued with Primo’s talent and potential, but are searching for a more complete understanding of the situation as they weigh the possibility of placing a claim to acquire Primo before he clears waivers and becomes a free agent Monday afternoon, sources said.”
Does the allegation against Primo have truth to it? If yes, how would it affect the career of this emerging star? Only time will tell!
