Real Madrid has been the biggest club in Spain for a very long time and the club’s new signing, Jude Bellingham has helped them sit on the top of the La Liga table this season. Bellingham came to Madrid in the summer transfer window of 2023 for a massive £115million, and thankfully, it looks like the money invested in the player is not going in vain.
The 20-year-old English superstar has surely shown his potential and what an asset he is for the team since he debuted for Real Madrid in July 2023. He has played in 8 matches so far and has displayed stunning skills in all of them.
Jude Bellingham matches Ronaldo’s historic goal-scoring feat
Jude Bellingham has found the back of the net in all 4 of his La Liga appearances. The player got his fifth goal in his last match against Getafe in the 95th minute, helping Madrid triumph 2-1 over their opponent.
Bellingham scored a goal against Atheltic Club, Celta Vigo, Getafe, and a brace against Almeria. The only other player to do so in consecutive games for Real Madrid is none other than Cristiano Ronaldo, who found the net against Villarreal, Espanyol, and Deportivo la Coruna and scored a brace against Xerex. It is too early to compare Bellingham to the CR7’s legacy; however, Real fans will only hope that Bellingham continues to do so.
Jude Bellingham tops La Liga scoring charts with five goals in four games
This astounding performance by the 20-year-old has gotten him to sit at the top of La Liga’s goal-scorers list. Having five goals to his name this season Bellingham is number one with Atletico Madrid’s Álvaro Morata, Real Sociead’s Takefusa Kubo, and Real Betis’ Willian José following him with three goals to their names.
The player’s entry into the team has helped them more than anyone and he is undoubtedly the best transfer made in the transfer window of 2023. His goal against Celta Vigo on 26 August also helped Madrid break the deadlock and win the game bagging another 3 points in their account.
Speaking about Bellingham’s impact, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti said: “We are not surprised by the talent of (Bellingham), but I am surprised that he is scoring so many goals. Everyone is surprised, even him.”
Ancelotti also that Bellingham is getting used to scoring and the fans also hope that his reign never ends.
