The European summer transfer window is on the verge of closing and, therefore, the giant clubs are competing hard to sign their desired players as early as possible with a view to building up a balanced squad for the upcoming season.
Jules Kounde Transfer news is one of the hot topics across this summer transfer window, as Chelsea is now lagging behind FC Barcelona in landing the French defender from Sevilla.
Why is Chelsea withdrawing from the Jules Kounde Transfer?
For the last couple of months, the intense battle between Chelsea and FC Barcelona caught the media’s attention for signing Jules Kounde from Sevilla, but now soccer enthusiasts around the world are observing the final stage of that fierce battle.
FC Barcelona is now getting much closer to acquiring Jules Kounde than Chelsea in recent times according to famous soccer correspondent Fabrizio Romano who twitted, “Barcelona are now getting closer to Jules Koundé. Positive contacts also in the morning, personal terms are fully agreed with Koundé – working on final bid.”

Besides Romano, many other soccer experts are predicting that the Jules Kounde transfer will be the highlight of this transfer season as both Chelsea and Barcelona are struggling hard to come up with a proper solution.
A few days ago, Chelsea struggled to play better football against an MLS club, which gave their manager a sense of danger and he made it clear that a world-class defender like Kounde could fill the gap in their defense.
However, Thomas Tuchel and the Chelsea board are now in frustration knowing that Barca will probably be the next destination for Kounde instead of Stamford Bridge.
Fabrizio Romano also confirmed this notion of Chelsea by posting on his twitter that, “Chelsea are tired of waiting for the green light – ready to explore other options if it doesn’t arrive soon.”
