The fact that Conor McGregor will return to the octagon later this year is now widely known. If the Irish fighter gets a shot at the title over his Michael Chandler bout, Justin Gaethje has already stated that he will be outraged. In the midst of all the controversy, a UFC Hall of Famer had no choice but to speak up and give his thoughts on Justin’s remarks against McGregor.

A few days ago Justin expressed what he feels about The Notorious getting a shot at the title. The American fighter made it pretty clear that he will not be satisfied if that happens. The Irish MMA sensation lost his lightweight title in 2018 after suffering a defeat against Khabib Nurmagomedov.
According to many MMA enthusiasts, it was just the beginning of Conor’s downfall. However, even after two years without any octagon appearance, the popularity and demand for Conor are still almost the same.

If there is one thing about Dana White’s company, UFC knows exactly how to match up two fighters for the maximum financial benefit. There is no denying that McGregor is still a golden egg-laying duck for the promotion.
If the Irishman in fact ends up defeating his American opponent, chances are high that he will be up against the current lightweight king Islam Makhachev.

Conor fighting against his nemesis Khabib’s friend, advisor, and fellow Dagestani fighter Islam would undoubtedly be a sight to witness. However, the current number 3-ranked lightweight fighter Gaethje made it clear that he will retire if any such event takes place.
According to the 34-year-old American, McGregor getting a title shot only means there is something wrong with UFC and he will definitely lose trust on the company he represents.

What did the UFC Hall of Famer have to say about Justin Gaethje?
Michael Bisping shared what he really thinks about The Highlight’s opinion. The former UFC middleweight champion slams Gaethje in one of the recent episodes of his podcast.
“If it’s good for Gaethje, then why can’t it be good for McGregor? And especially when you combine the fact that listen, Conor McGregor took this sport by storm,” said Bisping.
The veteran MMA fighter made it clear to Justin that Michael Chandler is not an easy opponent to defeat. As a matter of fact, Gaethje also fought and defeated Chandler two years ago.
The MMA analyst doesn’t see any valid reason why Gaethje would retire if Conor gets a title shot. On top of everything, it is yet to be decided whether the McGregor – Chandler fight will be a lightweight or welterweight fight.
“And you put all that together. Then you beat the same guy that Gaethje got a title fight for them. Well, on this side of the fence, I’ve got to go with McGregor in this one.” Bisping added.
