This year’s Super Bowl halftime show will feature Kendrick Lamar. From growing up in Compton to performing on the NFL stage, Kendrick has become one of the best rappers. On February 9th, he’ll make sure the crowd stays pumped up. But there’s a twist—his performance is facing some drama because of a legal challenge from rapper Drake.
Drake has taken legal action against Universal Music Group (UMG), accusing them of promoting Kendrick Lamar’s diss track Not Like Us, which makes serious claims against him. Despite the lack of confirmation, the controversy has placed pressure on Kendrick Lamar’s upcoming Super Bowl performance.
Lamar has achieved significant success this year, winning five Grammys, indicating that 2025 is his time to excel. His rivalry with Drake started when Drake called himself part of the “big three” in First Person Shooter. Lamar fired back like that, saying, “No big three, it’s just big me,” sparking a series of diss tracks.

Drake’s lawsuit argues that UMG fueled false accusations to boost Kendrick’s song. Fans now wonder if Not Like Us will feature in the Super Bowl setlist.

Drake files a lawsuit because the industry never help him.
Kendrick just opened his mouth ….🤣
This is very interesting Drake Dick gobblers at the start of the beef were confident Drake was gonna bury him because “no one listens to Kendrick” Drakes the bigger Artist ETC and Kendrick has “no hits” but now Drake lost it was swayed from the Jump. RIGHT! https://t.co/FgPoCqIwm3

Hate drake and this is not me sh00ting for him but it will forever be funny how everyone who chose Kendricks side in this beef turned their neck when he brought up abusers to perform the same song where he's supposedly calling out another abuser. If he wasn't beefing with that+ https://t.co/CVhehq9ZTj

Yes, this is the timeline. The first diss was Kendrick. The first personal shots. Also Kendrick.

Some people view Drake as the antagonist because he has a more arrogant & cocky persona. But going off the actual timeline of events, Kendrick & company started the feud, not Drake.
