Kevin Owens’ Story With Rhodes and Randy Takes An Interesting Turn

Fans have definitely noticed the changes in the dynamic between Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, and Randy Orton recently. After the Bad Blood PLE, tensions escalated when Owens attacked Cody near the buses outside the arena. Their once-solid partnership now feels uncertain, especially after KO’s unexpected ultimatum to WWE, which has added a new twist to their storyline.

Just days ago, Kevin Owens shared an ultimatum on social media, demanding WWE air a video about his issues with Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton. This storyline has drawn fans in by mixing real-life drama with wrestling.

In a follow-up video, Owens said, “I was going to give them until tonight, but I just don’t trust them.” He called out Cody, Randy, and WWE, saying it’s “ridiculous” for WWE to punish him for “dropping their little golden boy outside a stupid bus.”

He expressed deep hurt over Randy’s “betrayal,” saying, “Randy, I can’t believe that you betrayed me like that. I would never do that to you. Between the disrespect shown to be by WWE and Randy Orton breaking my trust like that, I really don’t know if or when I can come back.”

Kevin Owens’ lack of satisfaction with WWE has raised concerns regarding his contract, which is scheduled to expire in early 2025. Dave Meltzer recently gave an intriguing report on his current contract.

Meltzer weighs in on Kevin Owens’ WWE contract situation

Kevin Owens has been a key player in WWE for nearly ten years. His role in major storylines with stars like Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton highlights his importance to the company. However, the recent tension between Owens and WWE, evident in his Ultimatum video, has fans concerned about his potential departure from the promotion.

Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer shared his thoughts, saying, “There are a lot of different stories going around. There are reports that he’s close to signing, or hasn’t signed, [or] could go to AEW in January when his deal is up.”

Meltzer added, “I do know that multiple people in wrestling have said dating back to Bash in Berlin that they believed he’s signed but it’s being kept quiet, but that’s wrestling rumors that we haven’t been able to directly confirm…. whatever the story is, he wants it secretive for now.”
