The WWE Holiday Tour continued with a thrilling live event at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, and as promised last time on the WWE Raw Netflix Kickoff event, Kevin Owens appeared and offered a blockbuster and twist-filled battle between him and Cody Rhodes.
Their rivalry started at WWE Bad Blood 2024 and has been making headlines ever since. When Kevin Owens sidelined Cody Rhodes for weeks with a neck injury from a forbidden piledriver at Saturday Night’s Main Event, the tension reached its peak.
At the recent Holiday Tour live event in Jacksonville, Cody Rhodes made a surprise return after a short hiatus to defend his Undisputed WWE Championship in a steel cage match against Owens, where Rhodes escaped the cage first, winning the match.

But the drama didn’t end there. After the steel cage was lifted out, Owens tried to attack Rhodes again with a package piledriver, which could have ended Rhodes’ career. However, Rhodes reversed the move and hit Owens with a Cross Rhodes.
Kevin Owens calls out Cody Rhodes’ AEW career at WWE live event
At a WWE live event in Jacksonville, Kevin Owens took a shot at Cody Rhodes, mentioning his time in AEW. Before their big Steel Cage Match, Owens addressed the crowd with his usual boldness. He joked that Jacksonville had suffered for years with Cody’s weekly appearances and promised to help the city “heal” by beating him.
