Khamzat Chimaev and Daniel Cormier engaged in a grappling showdown in a recent viral video that has been circulating on various social media platforms. What surprised many was how Chimaev, weighing only 170 pounds at the time of the video, was able to hold his own in the grapple against a 250-pound UFC heavyweight champ.

The big question remains whether Khamzat Chimaev will be able to maintain his perfect unbeaten record after he is done fighting Costa. The Brazilian fighter is coming off a win as well so he would be hoping to extend his winning streak.

‘Borz’ has been getting a lot of backlash recently after he announced that he would be representing UAE going forward in the UFC. People argued saying that Sweden provided the fighter with everything yet he decided to part ways with the country.

This fight has a lot of weight to it as when Isreal Adesanya was still the champ he teased this fight saying that he might give the winner of this fight a shot at the title. This fight also opens a lot of doors for other potential fights for Chimaev as he could have a potential Kumaru Usman fight in line if he gets past Costa. Indeed Chimaev does have a lot riding on this fight and that’s why he would be looking at nothing short of a clear win to solidify his name in the division.
