Kylian Mbappe has by far been the best player for PSG for the past 5 years. However, the announcement of Mbappe leaving PSG at the end of the season has left the fans of the club in awe. This bold decision might be seen as Mbappe’s transfer to Real Madrid after a long-simmering saga for the past couple of years.
Even though Mbappe makes headlines on the field with his record, he doesn’t back down when it’s off the field. Recently, once again, Mbappe found himself in a controversy off the field, which quickly became the talk of the day among football fans.
Kylian Mbappe threatens to sue kebab business owner
The French international has involved himself in a controversy where he has threatened the kebab business owner for using his image for marketing purposes. Mohamed Henni, an influencer who has 1.8 million followers on Instagram and is also a Marseille fan, was given a letter threatening by the players managing team.
As per reports, Delphine Verheyden, Mbappe’s lawyer, on behalf of KMA, the company that manages Mbappe’s sponsorships, image rights and others, sent a letter to the kebab owner, Mohamed Henni, threatening to take the matter to court within eight days if he fails to remove Kylian Mbappe’s name from their menu.
Henni, who is an influencer, recently opened a kebab shop where he used Kylian Mbappe’s name to promote one of his kebabs. He gave the description for his Klüb kebab in a jesting manner : “baker round bread, as round as Mbappe skull.” However, this act landed Henni in legal trouble, as the KMA threatened to sue him in court for using Mbappe’s name for commercial purposes without their consent.
Kebab shop owner Mohamed Henni responds to Kylian
Henni, as well as the whole football world, was quite surprised by the action taken by Mbappe’s management team. The kebab shop owner, who has a huge following on Instagram, shared his thoughts on the demands in a letter given by Mbappe’s lawyer.
Mohamed Henni was clearly not happy with how Mbappe’s management team reacted. As per reports, Henni shared his response to his 1.8 million followers on Instagram, talking about Mbappe: “Are you not ashamed? You have nothing else to do? Suing me for something so futile? It is incredible. I can’t believe it!.” Henni was also seen posting a photoshopped picture of Mbappe with the caption “Hazelnut Master” after his goal against Nice in the French Cup.
Mohamed Henni also shared that Kylian Mbappe “has completely lost it,” as he is not the only player who was mocked in the restaurant. Dimitri Payet, a Marseille player, was also given a pancake with the description, “As loaded as Payet.” However, that player did not lodge a complaint because Henni feels that Payet is a player with “values.”
Kylian Mbappe has always been on the headlines, whether it’s his transfer news, his potential fallout with his manager or even the current controversy with Mohamed Henni. However, he is a player who knows how to handle these types of situations, so it would be intriguing to see what happens next.
