Kylian Mbappe has accepted Lionel Messi as the best after the Argentine superstar bagged the FIFA Best award home for the second time following his blockbuster campaign in the World Cup 2022.
Kylian Mbappe is a huge fan of Portuguese sensation Cristiano Ronaldo, and the French forward always expressed his love towards the Real Madrid legend and declared CR7 as the GOAT throughout his time since becoming a fan.
Mbappe has been a Cristiano fan since jump. Man had CR7 Madrid posters ALLLLL over his wall as a kid. To us it may seem like the dream to play with Messi but dude has had the Bernabeu on his dream board for a HOT minute. If he wants out it just… makes sense pic.twitter.com/PCqALKz2cx

The striker’s father admitted that Ronaldo was among Mbappe’s heroes in the game. Speaking in 2016, he said: “He [Mbappe] is a Real Madrid fan and his idol is Cristiano Ronaldo. He used to spend hours watching videos [of Ronaldo] on the internet.”
Speaking in December, Mbappe’s teammate and close friend Abdou Diallo backed the statement of the PSG number seven’s father and said Mbappe is the craziest Cristiano Ronaldo fan.
“Cristiano Ronaldo is literally everything to Kylian Mbappe. If you mention Lionel Messi against Cristiano, Mbappe will debate with you for at least an hour. For him, Cristiano is untouchable.”- Diallo said.
After the arrival of Leo Messi to PSG and witnessing what the little magician can do on the pitch, Mbappe might be changing his side as he said Messi is the best player despite the disagreement over the years.
Following the historical display at the FIFA World Cup 2022 which eventually took Messi highest of all players and Mbappe is happy to hand over the crown to the seven-time Ballon d’Or.
Taking to Instagram, Kylian Mbappe wrote: “Another trophy at home. Big congratulations to @leomessi you are #TheBest.”
Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe will be looking forward to linking up play more often this season after the new dynamic duo has found a way to assist each other on the pitch as Bayern Munich is waiting for the return leg of the UCL round of sixteen.
Mbappe was named among the FIFPRO XI for the ultimate eleven of the year while Messi will lead the charge of the pack after winning the Best Award despite being opted against the Ballon d’Or 2022.
