Kyrie Irving of the Brooklyn Nets has made another headline by requesting a trade before the February 9 deadline. The NBA world was left in shock after the star’s sudden change of heart.
Due to his social media activity and anti-Semitic controversy, the point guard has been on a tear this season. Despite receiving widespread criticism from netizens, fans, and authorities—almost everyone—the star delivered his best performance yet.
There were still some of the great stars standing beside the Little Mountain in those perilous moments, and Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James was one of them. After Kyrie’s trade request, he expectedly expressed his views through his tweet.
What did LeBron James tweet?
As we all know, when it comes to shocking and noteworthy incidents, LeBron is just like the rest of us. Following Nets PG’s trade request, the 38-year-old sent out another mysterious tweet. Just after Irving’s news went viral, James posted with two emojis: 👀👑.

As the tweet indicates, the NBA world went insane. James’ iconic cryptic message became a phenomenon created by the king himself.

What might LeBron James’ tweet mean?
There could be a whole lot of stuff LeBron intended to point out, but the timing and his long-lasting relationship with the 30-year-old Nets superstar mostly make sense. Does he foreshadow Kyrie’s arrival at the Lakers? Most likely.
Kyrie Irving spent three years with the Cleveland Cavaliers after LeBron James arrived in 2014, until the former’s departure in 2017. During that brief period, the Ankletakers won their only NBA championship, an All-Star medal twice, an All-Star game MVP once, and the USA basketball male athlete of the year award.
After his Cavaliers stint, he went to Boston and Brooklyn, but it appears he couldn’t touch his peak again. However, his performance has improved significantly statistically. He scored on average 27.1 points with 5.1 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game in his 40 appearances this season.
Perhaps the four-time NBA champion reminded everyone how much fun it was to watch these two play those games together. We also reckon that it also bears an invitation to the eight-time NBA all-star to rejoin him at the Lakers.
