Basketball superstar Lebron James is well-known for his unique on-the-court and off-the-court personalities, which defy the realm of basketball. He’s quite popular for his powerful role in improving his co-star’s performances and is regarded as the ideal teammate by NBA players for his role as a teacher and veteran of the game.
One of his many ways to inculcate and involve each individual in the teamwork is to have a special handshake with each of his teammates and sometimes, other staff members too.
LeBron James unveils special handshakes with Lakers squad
It is not something new to see Lebron James have a unique set of handshakes with his teammates as we have seen it before when he played alongside players such as Dwayne Wade and Kyrie Irving.
In a video released recently, Bron is seen dapping up and having a laugh with his young Lakers’ core pregame. The players involved are, namely, young star Max Christie, center Jaxson Hayes, potential Sixth Man of The Year favorite Austin Reaves, and former Wizards star Rui Hachimura.
The video shows the Lakers maestro giving distinct handshakes to each of the young stars as star teammate Anthony Davis watches them.
Previously, a video shot up to fame showed Lebron having a special handshake with even the Lakers staff photographer. This, in a nutshell, shows how he handles professionalism and friendship together as he involves every member of the fraternity in his little gestures.
The Lakers will hope to see their off-court chemistry translate to better communication in the crucial moments of the game and will also hope to put in better performances this season to support their dynamic duo led by Lebron James and Anthony Davis.
Earlier today, the Lakers lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves in a game that went to dying seconds of regulation time. The fixture contained all the drama a spectator needed in a basketball game.
Lebron, who was celebrating his birthday on the same night, didn’t get the opportunity to win the game and end the night in a celebratory tone after a controversial call ruined the Lakers’ momentum towards the final seconds of the game. Lebron and the Lakers will hope to get back on track tomorrow against the Pelicans, as they hope to end the year on a high note.
LeBron offers encouraging update on Bronny’s comeback after heart issue
The 39-year-old basketball superstar, husband, and father of three shared an uplifting update on Lebron ‘Bronny’ James Jr’s comeback after the latter had a heart issue earlier this year through a video that shows Bronny’s highlights for USC against Oregon State.
James Jr., playing for the University of Southern California had his best night of college basketball as he scored 15 points while being on minutes restriction. The young star shot 6 for 11 from the field and had 3 assists and 1 steal to complete the game. The highly energized Bronny showed the beautiful characteristics of his father as he slammed the ball hard into the basket from a steal.
A proud Lebron James posted the video to social media, saying, “His rhythm is starting to return to form after the layoff. Great showing tonight Young King. Oh still on mins restriction too.”
Lebron has previously mentioned that one of his career goals is to share the floor with his son in the NBA and that career goal may not be far from being a reality if Bronny can continue such mesmerizing performances.
What do you think of Lebron’s unique handshakes and gestures with each of his teammates? Do you think the Lakers will make the playoffs this season?
