UFC 283 is an upcoming Mixed Martial Art competition organized by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) that will be held at the Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on January 21, 2023. This will be first PPV event organized in Brazil after UFC Fight Night 270.
UFC 283 will feature homeboy Deiveson Alcântara Figueiredo and Brandon Carrillo Moreno for a flyweight title unification fight, which until now, is the most anticipated fight of UFC 283.
Deiveson Figueiredo, the current UFC flyweight champion, has an impressive flyweight career with a whopping 21 wins in 24 MMA appearances, only two losses, and one draw. With the latest announcement, the champion will face off against the current flyweight interim champion for the fourth time.
Brandon Moreno, the former UFC flyweight champion, has also been a solid performer in the Octagon. The Mexican fighter competed in 28 UFC fights, winning 20 of them, losing six, and drawing two. In his last clash, the assassin baby took down Kai Kara-France, securing the interim UFC Flyweight Championship.
This duo has previously fought each other three times, where each participant won one bout and drew the other. The first battle resulted in a draw, for which the God of War retained the championship title but lost the second bout, which resulted in the Mexican becoming the flyweight champion, in their third face off the Brazilian regained the title by a unanimous decision.
