Latest on UFC Orlando fight night card: Tai Tuivasa vs Sergei Pavlovich set to be featured for co-main event

UFC has recently announced the bout between Tuivasa and Pavlovich which will provide an appetizer for the two headliners, and the overwhelmed fans are expecting a knockout.

Tai Tuivasa and Pavlovich are scheduled to compete in the co-main event of UFC Orlando, which is going to take place on Dec. 3 at Amway Center in Orlando.

Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie says that No. 4 contender Tuivasa will return to the United States later this year to fight rising Russian bully Pavlovich, who is currently ranked fifth in the promotion’s heaviest division.

Tuivasa (14-4) had a stunning comeback that picked up speed in the first quarter of last year. ‘Bam Bam’ was at the bottom of the heavyweight standings after three consecutive defeats in 2018 and 2019. But in 2021, the Australian fan favorite returned with a vengeance after recovering from a setback against Stefan Struve in 2020.

The nights of Harry Hunsucker, Greg Hardy, and Augusto Sakai were cut short by his two fists of vengeance. In Houston last February, Tuivasa knocked out Derrick Lewis and continued his impressive run, which was accompanied by similarly remarkable celebrations.

“Bam Bam” will be looking to get back to winning ways before the end of the year after having his winning streak snapped by Ciryl Gane, who he collided with in a classic main event at UFC Paris last month.

If the Australian knockout artist wants to do it, he will have to stop Pavlovich‘s push (16-1). The former heavyweight champion of Fight Nights Global was almost perfect in the Octagon. Since losing to Alistair Overeem in a hard first mission, the Russian has won four in a row.

Tai Tuivasa has become a household name because to his impressive performances inside the cage and amusing antics outside of it.

However, his opponent is also making a name for himself. At UFC 277: Pea vs. Nunes 2, Sergei Pavlovich finished Derrick Lewis in the opening five minutes, which was his most stunning victory. Despite the fact that some fans questioned the stoppage, this victory serves as an intriguing prelude to his next showdown with “Bam Bam” later this year.

Headlined by a middleweight showdown between Stephen Thompson and Kevin Holland, the following bouts have been reported for the event:

  • Stephen Thompson vs. Kevin Holland
