During a preseason press conference, the Lakers GM offered a sneak peek of what to expect in the upcoming main game from the father-son combo. “Bronny got switched on to LeBron and he took him baseline and up and under off the glass and the words exchanged afterward were probably more challenging than anything else,” Pelinka said.
However, LeBron watched the conference and made a fantastic reverse layup. He shared a SportsCenter quote on Instagram with the clear-cut caption, “Great Defense.” Better O [Offense] 😊 This shows LeBron is sticking to his promise about keeping things real with his son on the court.
Not to mention, LeBron and Bronny have shown great work dynamics in their professional relationship, especially LeBron as a father. This dynamic was later praised and acknowledged by the Lakers owner.

LeBron has made it clear that while Bronny can call him “Dad” at home, things change when they wear the purple and gold. This approach caught the attention of Lakers owner Jeanie Buss, who praised LeBron’s professional mindset.
Reflecting on her own experience, she shared, “I never had that conversation with LeBron or Bronny, but in business, I always called my father Dr. Buss. It set a clear boundary, keeping work separate from home. I think LeBron and Bronny are ready for this dynamic.”
