Lakers superstar LeBron James’ love for video games and entertainment is well-known to all who follow and keep up with the star’s social media. Bron, who is a hardcore EA Madden fan took to Twitter to suggest that he would love to stream the games he plays.
Furthermore, King James created a war amongst the popular streaming companies by teasing his streaming appearance. NFL athlete and Cowboys LB Micah Parsons took the opportunity to interact with the basketball legend’s public service announcement.
Micah Parsons challenges LeBron James to Madden showdown
Bron, known for his unique, competitive and goofy personality that transcends basketball, has on multiple occasions shown his love for video games throughout his career. There is no doubt that one of his favorite video games is Madden, a game based on the NFL.
Apart from Madden, the player has also expressed his affection for the timeless Nintendo classic, Goldeneye 007. Around two decades back the player was pictured with copies of world-famous game, GTA Vice City, and one of the most popular gaming consoles ever, the PlayStation 2.
Bron recently wrote on X, “Thinking of live streaming my @EAMadden games when I play.. Who should I stream with? Meaning which platform brand”.
When LeBron expressed his interest to stream his time on Madden, many were quick to react asking for a unique opportunity to engage with the renowned player. Among the lot was Micah Parsons, linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys who wanted to take on the NBA superstar in a Madden showdown.
In his tweet, the linebacker urged Bron to play a game with a challenge which involved Bron giving one of his jerseys to the NFL player as a forfeit.
“Play me bron!! I win I want a jersey!!”, said Parsons in a reply to King James’ tweet.
While the King asked his audience whether he should stream the game and asked who the fans would like to see him stream with, LeBron also set off a streaming war when he asked which platform he should stream on.
LeBron James sparks streaming war between Kick and Twitch
Suggesting that he would like to stream his time playing Madden, the legendary basketballer Lebron James, oversaw a battle among streaming companies who wanted the King on board their operations.
One of the most famous athletes in the world and the most famous active NBA player without a doubt, it is no surprise that the popular media giants of the streaming world want him on their respective streaming companies.
The CEO of one of the world’s most famous streaming sites, Twitch advised the Lakers star to ask him to join Twitch as it would help him engage with his fans the best. Dan Clancy, the CEO also counseled Bron to stream on both Twitch and YouTube at the same time, which would further increase his engagement.
Posting on Twitter, Clancy said, “I am a bit biased given that I run Twitch but Twitch is the best platform for engaging with your fans. You also could consider streaming on Twitch and YouTube at the same time”
Popular streamer and a media celebrity in the sports community, Adin Ross also joined the party asking LeBron to join his streaming sponsor, Kick, a newly formed streaming platform, and also assured the future Hall of Fame athlete a very lucrative and high-value contract.
Adin said, “Come to kick. I’ll get u a bag my glorious king.”
However, nothing has been known ever since as fans eagerly wait to watch LeBron stream and engage with his highly comedic off-the-court personality.
Previously, James’ son, Lebron James Jr. aka Bronny James took to streaming and boasts of around 619k followers on Twitch.
