The Indiana Fever broke their two-game losing streak with a win against the Dallas Wings on Sunday. Rookie Caitlin Clark had an amazing game again, making history and getting a big shoutout from NBA legend LeBron James.
The Fever edged out the Dallas Wings 110-109 in a thrilling game. With 35 points and eight assists, rookie Caitlin Clark established a new record for WNBA rookies. Additionally, her teammate Kelsey Mitchell added 30 points. Together, they scored 65 of the Fever’s 110 points.
NBA star LeBron James showed his support by reacting to the game on his Instagram story. Reposting an image of Clark and Mitchell, the King wrote, “Dynamic Duo!!”
Caitlin’s performance as a WNBA rookie in that game was amazing. The basketball community reacted strongly to her unbeatable play. Some people are even starting to compare her to LeBron.
Journalist labels Caitlin Clark as WNBA’s LeBron James
Leading the Fever to 20 victories in her first season in the WNBA, 22-year-old Caitlin Clark has become a revelation, averaging 19.5 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. However, journalist Jason Whitlock labeled her as “LeBron James,” not for her stats in the game against the Dallas Wings, but for her aggressive playstyle, which he feels referees overlooked.
He tweeted a long negative post mentioning Caitlin, “It’s official. Caitlin Clark is LeBron James. She just laid a defender out with a Derrick Henry stiff-arm and the refs didn’t even consider blowing a whistle. Plus she whines way too much. I can’t take it. Too entitled. She hooked me on the Fever. Kelsey Mitchell is my fav player”
