LeBron James’ Work Ethics With Bronny Impresses Lakers Owner

Having LeBron James’s son Bronny play beside him this season promises to be unforgettable for the Los Angeles Lakers. When they put on the purple and gold, they will make history as the first father-son combo to ever play on the same squad.

However, the King has made it clear that Bronny can call him “Dad” at home, but he has to use a different name at practice and games. This thing caught the attention of the Lakers owner.

Lakers Governor Jeanie Buss, who worked with her father before leading the Lakers, has always admired Bronny’s work ethic, which he learned from his dad. Recently, she has also praised LeBron for setting clear work boundaries in a chat with Chuck Schilken from the LA Times.

She said, “You know, I never had that conversation with LeBron or Bronny, but in business situations, I always addressed my father as Dr. Buss. I wanted to keep that boundary clear because that helped us — we weren’t bringing work home to the dinner table. So I think LeBron and Bronny are very prepared for this.”

LeBron James only lets Bronny call him “GOAT” in games

When LeBron James and Bronny James play together, it will be a historic landmark in the Lakers’ history. But don’t expect Bronny to call LeBron “dad” on the court. With over 20 years in the NBA, LeBron knows the importance of keeping things professional.

LeBron explained the professional boundary on The Shop, “[Bronny] can’t call me dad in the workplace. At home, I’m ‘Dad.’ But on the court, he’s gotta call me ‘2-3,’ ‘Bron,’ or even ‘GOAT’ if he wants. It’s up to him… Can’t be running down the court like, ‘Dad, I’m open! ”
