LEGO, after conquering the toy industry, has now turned its attention toward gaming. What started with just physical building blocks is now about to take on the gaming metaverse. LEGO has started to do this by signing a partnership with Epic Games in April 2023. This has resulted in a new game mode in Fortnite, which tests your survival skills, except in a LEGO world.
This introduction aims to reach out to a younger audience that is already a part of the LEGO world. Unlike the Battle Royale mode, this mode requires patience and critical thinking. This mode gives you time to think about certain decisions before making them and isn’t as hectic as the battle royale mode.
Detailed Guide: How to get soil in LEGO Fortnite?
To build your own farm, it’s necessary that you obtain soil. Soil acquisition is an easy process, but that’s where the easy part ends. To obtain soil, one must hit any grassy yet empty surface with a shovel to dig it up. A shovel has to be built by using two pieces of wood and one plank. Digging an empty piece of land for the first time makes it available to build garden plots, where the farm is built. One needs to explore a little bit to find a grassy yet isolated piece of land for farming.
Now that one has obtained soil, all they need are fertilizers and seeds to build a farm and grow crops. Fertilizer droppings can be collected after feeding animals, while seeds can be collected through chests available throughout the map or by processing raw materials in a grain mill. One fertilizer and two seeds are all it takes to build a garden plot.
After building the garden plot, the player can plant a seed of their choice and then wait overnight (15 minutes according to real time) to harvest their crop. Once harvested, the plot can be used again for growing more crops.
Why building farm is important in LEGO Fortnite?
LEGO Fortnite, being a survival crafting game, requires you to be in optimal health and have enough stamina to deal with different kinds of situations. This one requires food, which can be obtained through your own farm without any difficulty. One can grow certain raw materials on their farms and even lure animals without having to hunt for them. Lured animals would provide the fertilizers, which would help build more farms.
Activities like collecting soil, fertilizers,, crafting resources, and building farms make this mode something never experienced before by Fortnite users. Albeit, users have loved this mode and numbers increase by day, showing that this mode is here to stay permanently.
