2023 was a milestone year for Fortnite, with it introducing three new game modes that made an attempt to integrate the audience of games like Rocket League and LEGO into the Fortnite world. Fortnite ended 2023 on a high note, and it hopes to reach an even higher note in 2024.
Just last year, we saw a partnership between LEGO and the developer of Fortnite, Epic Games. This partnership birthed a new game mode, which added a new twist to the competitive world of Fortnite. Hence, LEGO Fortnite has introduced a new update for the advent of a new calendar year, 2024.
What new items, features will be included in LEGO Fortnite 2024?
LEGO Fortnite promises to introduce many new items, features and cosmetics in the 2024 update to make the game more interesting. Three new NPC traders have been introduced, namely Wolf, Fox and Raccoon, which would help one obtain snacks, construction items and junk.
The only problem as of now is the uncertainty of the currency one can use for such trades. Players can now also make ziplines of their own to travel from one region to another. The introduction of new weapons like the Stun Gun (new Assault Rifle), the Bow and the Gravity Gun (used to haul things at other players) will definitely increase the thrill of combat among the players.
Another addition to the game is an item called the Compass, which will help players navigate the world easily. A new tier of weapons, stronger than the purple tier, will also be introduced, although the crafting of such items is still unknown.
When is the next LEGO Fortnite update?
After probably its biggest year since Fortnite hit the markets in 2017, its developers are back to launch yet another update to mark the New Year. Fortnite’s next update, with its new weaponry, new items and some debugging, is expected to launch in late January or early February, probably January 23.
Preceded by Winterfest 2023, an event that distributed free skins to everyone, this event has big shoes to fill. Looking at the current response from fans, everyone expects this update to be as fun and entertaining as previous updates have been.
