Linda McMahon Reportedly Involved in WWE Child Sex Abuse Lawsuit

Recent news has revealed a surprising twist about Linda McMahon, President-elect Donald Trump’s choice for Education Secretary. Linda, being the wife of former WWE CEO Vince McMahon, has a longstanding connection to the entertainment industry. However, no one expected her to be linked to a lawsuit, much like her husband was before resigning from WWE.

A recent lawsuit alleging child sex abuse within WWE has named Linda McMahon. The lawsuit, filed in Baltimore County, Maryland, accuses McMahon and other WWE executives of negligence and failing to prevent abuse by former ringside announcer Melvin Phillips.

Five unnamed plaintiffs filed the lawsuit, alleging that Phillips, who worked for WWE from the 1970s to the early 1990s, hired young boys as “ring boys” and later assaulted them. The plaintiffs allege that Linda, her husband Vince McMahon, and WWE were aware of Phillips’ misconduct but did nothing to stop it.

Melvin Phillips, who passed away in 2012, is accused of abusing young boys in various places like dressing rooms and hotels. Maryland allowed the lawsuit to be filed after changing the law in 2023. The new law lets victims seek justice no matter how long ago the abuse happened.

Are Linda McMahon and Vince McMahon still together?

Linda and Vince McMahon, who have been in the spotlight for many years, are no longer together. Recent reports confirm their separation after a long marriage filled with ups and downs, including public scandals.

After marrying in 1996, they have faced many challenges in their 58-year marriage. Public scandals have marked their relationship, with Vince admitting to infidelity and facing several allegations of sexual misconduct.

Despite these issues, the couple remained legally married for many years. However, Linda and Vince’s separation is now official. Linda’s attorney, Laura Brevetti, recently stated that the couple has been estranged for years, although they are still legally married.
