The 34-year-old Spanish international moved away from his home country of Spain for the first time, after playing for Spanish clubs Valencia and Barcelona. The superstar is a very successful soccer player, with a UEFA Champions League, 6 La Liga, and many other trophies under his belt.
The Spanish international has a special connection with Leo Messi, as they played for many years during their time at Barcelona. Most famously, Jordi assisted Leo Messi’s last-minute winner at the Santiago Bernabeu, when the El-Classico was tied at 2-2 in 2018.
Statistically, Jordi Alba is the highest individual to assist Messi’s goals as a defender, with a total of 23 assists made successfully to El Pulga. It will be crazy to see the two friends combine again in the future.
