Carlos Tevez discussed his experience as a coach at Rosario Central on Radio Miter. He also discussed how he continued the World Cup, which Argentina won, and why he did not congratulate Leo Messi on his victory in Qatar.
Carlos Tevez is a former Argentine superstar who scored 13 goals for his country, played for both Manchester clubs, and was a prolific figure in the history of football.
The former showstopper served as the manager of CA Rosario Central in 2022, but things turned upside down due to an incident after the World Cup, as he decided against wishing his former teammate and national hero Lionel Messi well.
Argentina won the World Cup 2022 after defeating France in the final on penalty shootouts, thanks to Messi’s two decisive goals and Emi Martinez’s courageous play.

“I followed the World Cup to some extent. I followed France closely because it was a team that I liked,” ” It gives me great pleasure to win the World Cup and see Messi scoring goals and I am glad to hear my children celebrate his goals.” – he further added.
Later, Tevez admitted, he always wanted Argentina to win the World Cup and that, despite his deep love and respect for Lionel Messi, he had purposefully chosen not to call and congratulate the player, knowing that his phone might have been constantly bombarded with calls and messages after the historic victory.
Carlos Tevez: "If I retired and had to put together a farewell match, my team would be Buffon, Hugo Ibarra, Rio Ferdinand, Gabriel Heinze, Patrice Evra, Scholes, Andrea Pirlo, Paul Pogba, Cristiano Ronaldo, Messi, and Rooney. I’d stay on the bench."#MUFC pic.twitter.com/hKOuA8ix5d

There is no love lost between them, and as Tevez stated in reports, they set priorities for themselves as per order. He wants to keep the good relationship with Messi going as a sign of their respect for one another.
