Logan Paul discusses his wrestling future and reveals current WWE heel who he aspires to be like

Within just a little more than one year Logan Paul has become a full-fledged pro wrestling athlete. He has become a prominent star in the main roster of WWE. He has achieved several feats since his debut.

However, Logan Paul has flipped his in-ring character in the process of defeating Ricochet. Maverick conducted illegal tactics for winning the match. Paul didn’t only take a dig at Ricochet but also at his would-be wife. According to some reports, Logan used brass knuckles only to finish the match fast for attending his brother Jake Paul’s match at Dallas. Due to this act, Fans are criticizing the superstar on social media. It doesn’t seem to have any effect on him and looks like Maverick wants it that way.

Logan Paul desires to become the heel instead of a face in the WWE

Logan Paul says he could have been the face of WWE if he ever wanted to. The Youtuber turned wrestler has been a part-time star since he made his in-ring debut at WrestleMania 38. He has performed at multiple live events within just one year, though he doesn’t give his presence every week in WWE. Still, he is confident enough to claim that he would be “the guy” if he wanted to.

Logan has made a name for himself by defeating Ricochet at SummerSlam 38. As he won the match by unfairly punching Ricochet with a brass knuckle, it might be the start of his heel arc in WWE.

Logan Paul

Recently, while speaking with Stephen A. Smith on “The Stephen A. Smith Show”, Logan was questioned by Stephen to describe what he thinks is his goal to become a high-caliber superstar in WWE.

“I love this question because that’s where my head is at,” Paul said. “That’s where my head always goes when I enter any new vertical. I’m not here to take part, I’m here to take over. It’s my DNA, it’s how I’m wired. I was the last superstar that Vince McMahon signed. After my first match, he came to me backstage, and he said, ‘Your future is here.’ I understand the weight of those words coming from him.

“So to be honest with you, if I wanted to be the face of the WWE and if I wanted to give this industry my all, I could. I know I could. It’s just a decision I have to make. It’s a flip I have to switch.”

Smith asked Logan Paul about how soon he thinks he’ll make the switch flip. “The Maverick” admitted that he didn’t know. He also mentioned that it was up to the fans.

“I don’t know. It’s also up to the fans,” Paul said. “Do they resonate with me? They might think I come in there and don’t like my arrogant and cocky, conceited nature, and might think I’m the outsider forever, even though I’m actually doing five PLEs a year. I got some convincing to do. But I’m there in my head. If I wanted to be WWE Champion, I can do it,” said Logan Paul.

Logan Paul named a single active WWE star he wants to emulate

In the”The Stephen A. Smith Show,” Logan Paul confessed that he wants to become heel like one of the currently active WWE stars and that star is none other than Dominik Mysterio aka Dirty Dom. Since his debut, Logan Paul has gradually adapted to the pro wrestling industry. At WWE SummerSlam, Maverick scored a huge win, defeating Ricochet in the opening match of WWE SummerSlam 2023.

In an interview with Stephen A. Smith, Logan Paul was asked who he admires in WWE.  “Well, there’s a person who’s actually active right now. Who I admire. His heel tendencies and he goes by the name of Dominik Mysterio.”- answered Logan.

He further added, “He’s Rey Mysterio’s son and he got a feud with his dad and it worked. The audience ate it up like they hate this guy now. I think it actually might be real hatred.”

Paul continued on to add that he wants a crowd reaction like “Dirty” Dom, and said, “Dom puts the mic up to his mouth and he can’t get a word out because everyone in every single arena around the country, around the world is booing him. He cannot speak, he cannot cut promos. That’s where I want to be. I want to be so hated that I can’t talk when I enter the venue.”

At the present time in WWE, no one gets as much hate as Dominik Mysterio gets when he is even near the arena. Dirty Dom has done several bad things in WWE for little less than a year, but till now, the worst he did was to betray his own father Rey Mysterio. Dominik can be considered the best new-generation era heel, and the recent fight between Logan Paul and Ricochet at SummerSlam clearly indicates that Logan might be following the path of Dominik in the upcoming future events.

Do you think fans will give the same amount of response as Dominik if Logan Paul becomes heel? Let us know your opinion in the comment section.
