Ever since Canada’s win over Slovenia, NBA stars Luka Doncic and Dillon Brooks have been in the spotlight. Both are being constantly asked their opinions and views about the match and the results. Due to Doncic’s claim of unfair refereeing during the match, he perhaps is facing more attention from the media.
With more of these interviews and statements being published every day, there can be some substantial spread of misinformation. This is exactly what happened surrounding El Matador’s comments on Dillion Brooks following the game, which now turn out to be mere rumors.
Footage of Luka Doncic slams Dillon Brooks over a boxing celebration is false
A video had been making rounds on the internet where Luka Doncic was doing a usual interview in his native language. As he is an international star many of his fans speak different languages apart from Slovenian. This made it easier to fabricate information and the video was posted with a false translation in which Doncic allegedly said “All bark, no bite” in response to Brooks’s post-match boxing celebration.
The translation turned out to be fake and fans angrily called out the spreader of misinformation. One fan said, “Man is getting that X payout for spreading misinformation.” referring to the person getting revenue from the high engagement of his fake post.

One fan even pointed out how misleading these fake posts can be as articles were already published featuring the fake translated video. This can lead to unnecessary beef among stars which is not healthy in any form.

Watch: Dillon Brooks celebrates Canadian win with shadowboxing
While the translation of El Matador’s comments came out fake, Dillon Brooks’ celebration however, was not. Brooks was seen celebrating after the major win of Canada in the pavilion. He was wearing boxing gloves and was seen shadowboxing.
The video of him doing so is circulating across social media platforms and fans are having a mixed reaction. Some fans congratulated The Villian on his win while others are pointing out how spineless the referees were during the match and standing by Luka Doncic’s claims.

Whatever the reaction might be, it doesn’t seem to bother Brooks much as he is enjoying his win for now and is getting ready to advance into the next round of the tournament.
